Jesus and the Tempter

ONCE AGAIN, HAPPY EASTER 2023

The lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life – Adam failed the temptation in the Garden. Time after time, after time sacrifices were required to cover our sin.

The lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life – Jesus overcame the tempter in the wilderness.  NOTHING could stop Him!! He was free to heal the sick, open the eyes of the blind and the ears of the deaf.  He was free to heal every sickness that was brought before Him and ultimately, raise the dead. Lazarus was not the only one BUT he was the only one who had been dead four days.

One failure brought guilt, shame, bondage and ultimately death!

Caiaphas the high priest that year passed judgement declaring, “It is necessary for us that one man should die for the people and not that the whole nation should perish.” Only they could have offered Jesus up to Pilate for in Old Testament times, only the priests could offer sacrifice on behalf of the people and themselves.  

One sacrifice brought freedom and eternal life (Hebrews 9;27-28).

The Tomb Is Empty! Jesus died and rose again just for YOU and me!
